In today's complex and evolving world, achieving efficiency in public administration requires the use of new governance models. "Theory of Good Governance" as one of the paradigms in public administration, with an emphasis on indicators such as accountability, rule of law, and transparency, has attracted the attention of many political systems. The present study was developed with the aim of closely examining the dimensions of this theory and evaluating its achievements in improving governance processes. The main question is what results and consequences does the application of the theory of good governance bring in improving the quality of governance? To answer this question, the analytical tool "SWOT" (SWOT) has been used as one of the efficient methods of management analysis to explain the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of implementing this theory. This study is descriptive-analytical in terms of methodology, and the required data have been collected using the library method. The fundamental hypothesis of the article is that the implementation of the theory of good governance will fail without considering the political, cultural ecology, and local requirements. Therefore, it is not possible to simply copy or imitate successful models of Western countries without considering the ideological foundations and specific conditions of each country. Finally, this article suggests that in order to benefit from the benefits of good governance, a framework should be designed and localized in accordance with domestic values and needs so that it can be effective in improving the country's management and executive structures.
